Security solutions provider Rapid7 has launched the latest version of its vulnerability management solution, NeXpose, which will help local governments and private enterprises adhere to Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2 Certification requirements.

The FIPS certified cryptographic library can also be extended to private enterprises that offer browser and API based services to their customers.

Additionally, Rapid7 NeXpose 4.9 comes with offline activation and updating capabilities, which will clients to activate the software and download regular security updates and patches without connecting to the Internet.
