Website and mobile application protection company PerimeterX this week announced a $14 million extension to the Series C funding round it completed in February 2019.

With the additional funding, the company has raised a total of $91.5 million to date.

The round was led by Scale Venture Partners and also saw participation from Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners (DTCP), Salesforce Ventures, Adam Street Partners, Canaan Partners, Vertex Ventures and Data Collective (DCVC).

Recently, PerimeterX added three Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings to its portfolio, namely Bot Defender, Code Defender, and Page Defender.

The first of them is meant to keep modern web and mobile applications, and APIs safe from bots, the second aims to stop supply chain attacks such as Magecart, while the third is a client-side browser malware protection solution to block unwanted ads and scripts from redirecting web visitors.

All three solutions take advantage of the PerimeterX platform, which was designed to provide services such as behavior-based analytics, sensors, detectors and enforcers, alongside a user-oriented portal and actionable reporting.

The company says its SaaS portfolio is fully compatible with cloud services and content delivery network (CDN) solutions, is completely software-based, and can be deployed anywhere.

“This additional funding, and the relationship with these strategic investors, gives us the power to speed up the expansion of our product portfolio to stop the Magecart and digital skimming attacks we’ve read so much about. We remain dedicated to helping our customers focus on growing their digital business, knowing their consumers and brand are secure,” Omri Iluz, co-founder and CEO of PerimeterX, said.
