In a bid to enhance its end Cloud Services portfolio and security offerings, Japanese IT and telecommunications services giant NTT has agreed to acquire Solutionary, an Omaha, Nebraska-based Managed Security Services Provider for an undisclosed cash sum.
NTT has been expanding its security capabilities to become one of the world’s largest security integrators, the company said.
Solutionary, which was launched in 2000 and has more than 300 employees, offers managed security services and security consulting services, with a focus on protecting traditional and virtual IT infrastructures, applications, networks, cloud and mobile environments.
Solutionary operates what it calls “ActiveGuard”, its own security analytics platform, and provides global threat intelligence and certified information security experts 24/7 through several Security Operations Centers (SOCs).
Solutionary currently serves more than 600 clients in a wide range of industries such as financial services and healthcare.
NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation) has revenues of more than $107 billion and has roughly 227,000 employees that work across 69 countries.
The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the third quarter of 2013, NTT said.
Following the acquisition, Solutionary will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTT.
