FishNet Security, a provider of information security solutions, announced on Monday that it has acquired of TorreyPoint, a full-service network and infrastructure consultancy based in Sunnyvale, California.

TorreyPoint provides strategic network engineering solutions, professional services and dedicated sales support to more than 400 customers. The company is an infrastructure partner for Juniper Networks, with key customer segments including service providers, government agencies and Web 2.0 companies.

The acquisition closed on Oct. 31, 2013 and included TorreyPoint subsidiary, Proteus Networks.

“FishNet Security has experienced tremendous growth throughout its history, and we have nearly tripled in size over the past five years,” said Gary Fish, founder and CEO of FishNet Security. “One of our biggest challenges has been keeping up with our customers’ demand for experienced engineers, consultants and trainers. The acquisition of TorreyPoint dramatically expands our resources and creates one of the largest dedicated infrastructure solution teams in the country.”

TorreyPoint has partnerships with vendors including Palo Alto Networks, Arista, ADVA Optical Networks, A10 and Brocade.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Service offerings will be immediately integrated with existing FishNet Security business operations, FishNet said, and current TorreyPoint customers should contact their local account manager for additional information regarding the transition.

FishNet Security has 29 regional offices, including 10 training facilities and two product testing laboratories.
