BlackBerry announced on Monday that it has completed the $425 million cash acquisition of secure mobility solutions provider Good Technology.

BlackBerry said it would integrate Good’s software solutions and services with its own software offerings to provide an enterprise mobile security solution that supports multiple platforms and applications while helping users maintain personal privacy.

Good’s platform offers features such as app-level encryption, data loss prevention and secure communication between applications.

The combined offerings will include support for iOS, BlackBerry, Windows, and Android including Samsung KNOX Workspace and Android for Work.

“Good brings additional value to the BlackBerry platform by offering strong application containerization on iOS and Android, and will provide solutions to containerize custom and third-party applications,” said Stacy Crook, Research Director, Enterprise Mobility at IDC.

BlackBerry said it expects to realize roughly $160 million in GAAP revenue from Good in the first year, including the impact of an expected write-down of certain deferred revenue of Good.

Good raised nearly $300 million in financing since it was founded in 1996, and had revenues of roughly $212 million in 2014. Prior to the acquisition, Good said that it served more than 6,200 customers, including more than half of the Fortune 100, and all of the Fortune 100 commercial banks, aerospace and defense firms.
