Network Perception, a company that specializes in securing operational technology (OT) assets with network segmentation verification and visualization, announced this week that it has raised $13 million in a Series A funding round.
The funding round, which brings the total raised by the company to $15.73 million, was led by The Westly Group, with participation from Energy Impact Partners, Serra Ventures, Okapi Venture Capital, Energy Foundry, and SaaS Venture Capital.
The Chicago, Illinois-based company says its NP-View platform — originally developed by a government-funded research team — is designed to help organizations verify network segmentation and identify network vulnerabilities.
The company says its platform is used by utilities for network access security, helping them achieve compliance and better cyber resilience.
Network Perception says it will use the investment to expand its commercial activities, expand into new markets, and accelerate go-to-market growth.
“Network Perception is a leader in firewall risk assessment for critical infrastructure and has built a platform that verifies and visualizes firewall policies to ensure an organization’s most important assets are protected and compliant,” said Harry Giovani, managing partner and CEO at Energy Impact Partners Credit Strategies.
