Barracuda Networks acquires SKOUT Cybersecurity
Application, cloud, email, data and network security solutions provider Barracuda Networks is acquiring SKOUT Cybersecurity, a company that provides cyber-as-a-service software for MSPs, as well as XDR solutions. The deal enables Barracuda to expand its portfolio with an XDR platform.
Cybersecurity services firm BlueVoyant announced buying Marclay Associates, a UK-based cybersecurity consultancy that specializes in incident response and cyber investigation services. The goal is to expand BlueVoyant’s managed and consulting service capabilities in the UK. The company will also receive $30 million in funding from existing investors to help its growth.
CELESTE acquires Oceanet-Technology
France-based fiber optic solutions provider CELESTE announced the acquisition of Oceanet-Technology, which specializes in creating, managing and securing cloud architectures. CELESTE’s goal is to strengthen its cloud expertise and infrastructure, as well as “its culture of security.”
Client Solution Architects acquires Capstone
Client Solution Architects (CSA), a management and technology solutions provider for the US government, acquired government solutions and services provider Capstone. CSA says the acquisition will help it improve in several areas, including cybersecurity.
Exclusive Networks acquires Ignition Technology
Exclusive Networks, a France-based company that provides cybersecurity solutions from various vendors, acquired Ignition Technology, a UK-based distributor of security-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions. Ignition, which covers the UK and Northern Europe, specializes in early-stage, disruptive cybersecurity vendors.
HPE is acquiring cloud data management and protection provider Zerto for $374 million in cash. The acquisition should help HPE expand its GreenLake cloud data services and move HPE Storage closer to becoming a cloud-native, software-defined data services business.
Imprivata acquires whiteCryption
Imprivata, which has developed a digital identity framework for healthcare organizations, has acquired Xton Technologies, a company that provides privileged access management (PAM) solutions. Imprivata plans on integrating Xton’s PAM technology into its identity and access management (IAM) platform.
MOQ acquires Dienst Consulting
MOQ acquired Dienst Consulting for AUD 3.78 million (USD 2.8 million). Both companies are based in Australia and they provide IT services. MOQ said the acquisition will enable it to expand its presence in Western Australia and help it extend its digital and cybersecurity services focus in the region.
Pixel Holdco, the parent company of UK-based IT services firm Perfect Image, announced buying Northern Ireland-based cybersecurity firm Cyphra. As a result of the deal, Cyphra’s cybersecurity solutions and services will be combined with Perfect Image’s cloud infrastructure, managed services and data analytics solutions. Cyphra will continue to operate under its own brand.
British anti-malware powerhouse Sophos has acquired Capsule8 to beef up the Linux protection capabilities to its endpoint detection and response product stack. For Sophos, the Capsule8 technology adds runtime visibility, detection and response for Linux production servers and containers covering both on-premises and cloud workloads.
Swiss Post acquires majority stake in Tresorit
Swiss Post, the national postal service of Switzerland, has acquired a majority stake in secure file sharing company Tresorit. Swiss Post said the deal allows it to expand its digital infrastructure and secure data transfer offerings.
View, Inc., a company that offers smart building platforms and smart windows, acquired IoTium, which provides secure, cloud-managed, software-defined IoT networks. IoTium’s technology will make it easier to securely deploy smart building applications through View’s platform. According to View, “It is the most reliable, easiest-to-deploy and most economical solution to implement enterprise-grade security and a converged edge infrastructure in buildings.”
Threat intelligence and protection company ZeroFox acquired Vigilante, a firm specializing in dark web threat intelligence. By joining forces with Vigilante, ZeroFox improves its dark web threat intelligence capabilities.
Zimperium acquires whiteCryption
Mobile security company Zimperium acquired whiteCryption, a firm that provides application security, content protection, data management and device security products. Zimperium will integrate whiteCryption’s solutions into its Mobile Application Protection Suite, but it will also continue to support current whiteCryption customers.
