CORE Security Technologies, a Boston, Massachusetts-based provider of security testing solutions, this week announced a significant update to its CORE Insight Enterprise security intelligence solution.
According to the company, its latest offering helps security professionals identify critical exposures to their infrastructure and link them real-world business risks.
Through a real-time security intelligence platform, CORE Insight provides unified threat validation and prioritization while feeding key analytics to the security ecosystem. Additionally, CORE Insight is designed to help organizations improve IT security, optimize budgets, increase efficiency of security operations, and predict threats.
Announced at the Infosecurity Europe conference taking place this week in London, CORE Insight 2.0 brings a set of vulnerability management capabilities – including integrated network and web application vulnerability scanning; attack planning and simulation; threat replication; dashboards and reporting; and vulnerability remediation.
Additionally, CORE Insight 2.0 offers access to bundled network and web vulnerability scanners from other vendors, including nCircle and NT OBJECTives (NTO), as well as the ability to import and interact with data from other scanning. Through a new graphical user interface (GUI), this latest version provides the capability to schedule and manage scans directly from within CORE Insight.
Other enhancements help customers by streamline vulnerability management processes, reduce associated costs, and improve overall security, by providing a deep understanding of an organization’s total risk profile based on how criminals would exploit and traverse paths of vulnerabilities across web applications, network systems and client-side infrastructure.
