LogLogic Cuts Price of Security Event Management Products by More Than 50%

Log Management and Security Event Management solution provider, LogLogic, today announced that it is cutting the price of its Security Event Management (SEM) products by more than 50% in order to make SEM technology more accessible to companies of all sizes.

“Vendors seem to be hiding all sorts of costs as add-ons, feature upgrades, and installation services,” said Guy Churchward, CEO of LogLogic. “LogLogic is committed to offering a complete product at a transparent price, with zero compromise on the core essentials of security.”

Many vendors, in what analyst firm Gartner calls the Security Information and Event Management market, have been loading SEM offerings with features that are esoteric at best and a security distraction at worst.

The LogLogic Security Event Manager shares log collection technology with a related Log Management solution, allowing rapid deployment of SEM using an auto-indentifying engine to recognize log sources.

“We see 80+% of the needs of the SIEM space being satisfied by proper enterprise class log management. SEM fulfills a further 10+% of those needs. The price model needs rebalancing and we’re pleased to see that LogLogic is leading the fight,” said Mike Davis, CEO of Savid Technologies, a security consulting firm in Chicago, and author of the book Hacking Exposed: Malware and Rootkits.

San Jose, CA based LogLogic currently has over 1,000 customers worldwide using its SEM products.
